Welcome to Blarghour Farm, a working hill farm of 2, 00 acres on which 900 sheep and our herd of Luing cattle graze. We are located on the shores of lovely Loch Awe, Argyll, in the West Highlands of Scotland, and offer 4 cottages:

Barn - sleeps 2
Living accommodation on the upper floor enjoying a bright aspect and hill view. On ground floor bath/shower room and bedroom with twin or zip-linked double option. Semi-detatched with Stable.

Stable - sleeps 4
Stable provides spacious accomodation with elegant spiral staircase and full length windows the lovely outlook across Loch Awe may be enjoyed both from the comfort of the lounge and from the terrace. On the upper floor is a bath/shower room and flexible sleeping arrangements with twin or zip-linked double options in both bedrooms. Semi-detached with Barn.

Barr-beithe Lower - sleeps 5
From the comfort of the sunroom relax and observe the everchanging mood of Loch Awe unfold before you. All on one level with three bedrooms; double, twin/zip-linked double and single room, and both bathroom and shower rooms both with toilet and sink. Wheel chair access ramp and electric riser recliner chair.

Barr-beithe Upper - sleeps 6
Set in a mature garden of heathers and azaleas while also enjoying a lovely outlook over Loch Awe from both garden, lounge and conservatory. All on one level with three bedrooms; king-sized double, twin/zip-linked double option and twin room, and both bathroom and shower rooms with toilet and sing in both. The kitchen looks out onto the hill where our sheep and cattle graze.

Loch Awe is a 24 mile long fresh water loch with excellent fishing (by permit only) and boat hire. Surrounded by farms and forests this rural location is a special place to unwind.

Places to explore include Inveraray with castle and jail and good eating, Oban the gateway to the isles with ferries & tours to Mull & Iona, Kintyre with its windswept sandy beaches and famous Loch Lomond, Gen Coe and Fort William within a comfortable drive.

For those wishing to venture further Edinburgh and Inverness at both 3 hours.
