No minimum stay; single night stays possible.

Participation in daily ranch life is offered (fencing, horse care, hey harvest, feeding etc.)
Activities: horse back riding, boat trips (river & sea), beach holiday, skidoo, angling, game & whale watching, wandering, winter holiday, vacation with pet

Double Barn Ranch offers individual holidays in a familiar atmosphere (max. 15 people at a time). We do not participate in mass tourism.

Driving time to 10 mi. long, sandy beach approx. 18 minutes. The beach is, even in summer, slightly frequented.

Distance to Kouchibouguac National Park 15 mi. The Park borders to the sea.

Description of the area:

Both Rexton and Richibucto are located right to the Richibucto River, very close to it's mouth into the St. Lawrence Gulf. The total number of inhabitants is approx. 6500 and highway exits exist at both villages. Many shops and restaurants supply food and all items for daily needs.

Bouctouche, a favored tourist destination is just 14 mi. apart from the ranch. The "Dune of Bouctouche" is a very interested nature reserve.

How to find us:

Next international airports are Moncton (47 mi.) and Halifax (172 mi.). For flight connections and fares please visit our website (link: traffic).

Go from Halifax to Moncton (follow signs TRURO, NEW BRUNSWICK and MONCTON). From Moncton on hwy 15 towards SHEDIAC & MIRAMICHI.
Nearby Shediac turn on hwy 11 (MIRAMICHI) and leave hwy at exit REXTON & RICHIBUCTO VILLAGE (31 mi. from Shediac).

Drive towards Rexton and turn left at the fire station on Main St. At next crossing turn left again (CALIFORNIA ROAD) and at next crossing right (GALLOWAY ROAD). The ranch is located after about a mile on right hand.

Coming from Maine: head for St. John and Moncton, then follow the a/m description, too.

Coming from Quebec: head for EDMUNDSTON, PLASTER ROCK, then on route 108 towards MIRAMICHI and CHATHAM, and from there on hwy 11 south towards Moncton until exit REXTON & RICHIBUCTO VILLAGE (but pass by Richibucto !)

Alternatively: go via CAMPBELLTON, BATHURST, and pass by Chatham.
