Built around 1790, this deceptively spacious cottage for two sits entirely alone at the edge of Strachur Park. Surrounded on three sides by private parkland and across the road from the shoreline of Loch Fyne there are spectacular views down Loch Fyne to the hills of Kintyre. This Lodge has a double bedroom, lounge with open fire, formal dining room, fully equipped bathroom with bath and over-bath electric shower and galley style, tiny, fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has an oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster and is fully stocked with crockery, cutlery, cookware, utensils and glassware. Full electric heating is provided and a starter supply of coal and logs.

Description of the area:

Strachur is a charmingly sleepy Highland village scattered along the eastern shore of Loch Fyne. We have two well stocked small shops, a fine hotel and a village pub. There are many interesting and historical places to visit all within an hour's drive of the village and the scenery is breathtaking everywhere you travel.

From Glasgow you take the A82 to Tarbet, Loch Lomond then join the A83 through Arrochar until you come to the left turn off for the A815. Nine miles down this road you drive into the village of Strachur
