An old house (approx. 200 years old), partly on two floors, with massive natural stone walls and wooden beams on the ground floor, entirely renovated. The lower part overlooks a patio with flowers and vines growing everywhere. An outside staircase is leading to the upper floor. The roof terrace is on the upper floor from which you have a beautiful view over the Preveli-valley, the mountain ranges and right through to the sea and the Paximadi-Islands.

Description of the area:

The house is situated in the middle of the village of Asomatos, approx. 4 km from the closest beach and 6 km from the closest beach resort Plakias. Asomatos has a population of about 120 and has so far been preserved from mass tourism and hotel complexes. Asomatos is situated on the South coast of Crete on the Lybian sea (Rethimnon / Finikas)

How to find us:

From the airport of Heraklion or Channia, follow the road to Rethimnon. There you follow the directions to Spili. After the village Armeni (second exit) you turn left direction Plakias. After a short drive, you cross the Kourtalotis-gorge. After this gorge, you arrive in Asomatos. Total driving time: 1h30.
