Description of the area:

The community of Pézènes-les-Mines including Pézènes, 5 hamlets and 2 domains is situated in the region Languedoc-Roussillon - the heart of the Hérault district, 60 km from Montpellier - between Bédarieux and Clermont l'Hérault, 12 km from Lake Salagou, 8 km from Lake Olivette, 45 km from the Mediterranean. Here you can find places that are not as crowded as other regions of Southern France. Les Montades, where the house is situated, is a tiny village a few kilometers from Lac de Salagou, where you will find few tourists. The lake has nice beaches and all sorts of watersports are possible (except that motorised vessels are not allowed ). It is an excellent place for families. The Salagou Lake is famous for its red stone ("ruffes") making it an inviting, unique and extraordinary landscape. In the village, there are no shops. All sorts of shops and supermarkets can be found in the two neighbouring towns Bédarieux and Clérmont.
