Description of the area:
Die private Badebucht am See hat eine große Liegewiese mit vielen schattenspendenden Bäumen. Ein großes Kanu ist vorhanden. Das flache Ufergewässer eignet sich zum Planschen schon für die Allerkleinsten. Viele Pfade führen zu Kletterfelsen und Lichtungen, Ruinen und Bachläufen durch Wald und Weiden und die reiche Fauna der Quinta do Rio Dão. Die tägliche Hüterunde mit der Herde bietet die Möglichkeit die umliegenden 15 qkm zu Fuss oder im Sattel näher zu erkunden. Ausflüge zu Thermen, Dolmen und Monumenten, alten Dörfern und traditionellen Handwerksbetrieben wie Ölpressen, Wassermühlen, zu Ausgrabungen und Römerspuren, auf traditionelle Märkte und Volksfeste oder in die 15 km entfernte Bezirkshauptstadt Viseu.
