Charming comfortable apartment, not far from Gianicolo, American Academy, Villa Pamphili, Villa Sciarra and Trastevere near bus-stops and the railway station “Quattro Venti”. Completely furnished gives hospitality to 6 people. There is a typical Italian bathroom, a bedroom with a double-bed, living room with sofa bed and if necessary it is possible to add two single beds and one kid's bed. Modern kitchen fully furnished. A/C, DVD, TVSat, telephone. Cleaning and linen service weekly.
The apartment is very silent and cosy and it is perfect for a romantic holiday or for students (American Academy is not far away), or for families also with small children. You will find it very relaxing to do your own cooking or choose a restaurant where you are treated as an Italian – not as a tourist. The bakery just outside the door where you can buy fresh bread in the morning is very appreciated! The direct buses take you down town in only 20 minutes, and to visit San Pietro you can go or by train or by bus.

Description of the area:

In the neighbourhood you can take a walk in Villa Doria Pamphili, the largest park in Rome and one of Roman "villas" best preserved. A smaller but very beautiful park is Villa Sciarra with several statues and fountains and a big cage with peacocks, pigeons and other birds common in Rome.
Piazza Garibaldi at Gianicolo, is one of the best locations for a breathtaking view of the city. It was once the center for the cult of the god Janus. There are several monuments to Garibaldi and to the fallen in the wars of Italian independence. Daily at noon, a cannon fires in the direction of the Tiber to signal the exact time. Gianicolo also houses Fontana dell'Acqua Paola, a baroque fountain built by Pope Paul V, the church of San Pietro in Montorio, the American Academy, the Academia de España and the Orto Botanico (a botanical garden).
Porta Portese, a popular flea market, is held every Sunday in Trastevere, which is also famous for its nightlife with many bars, restaurants and trattorie.

From Fiumicino airport: train to Trastevere Station. There change trains for FR3 and get off at station “Quattro Venti” and from there about 300 meter’s walk. Or at Trastevere Station, take bus number 871 and get off at Via Regnoli, about 50 meters from Viale dei Quattro Venti.
From Ciampino airport: take the shuttle to Via Marsala near Stazione Termini. From there you can take bus number 75 and get off at Via Carini, close to Viale dei Quattro Venti.
